About
Our Story
Most young rugby players get one session of organised rugby each week. Through their club or school, they train or play, and that's it until the following week.
For children who love the game and want to improve, that's not a lot of time. More Rugby was created to fill that gap — to give children who love rugby more opportunities to play, develop their skills and enjoy the game.
We started with holiday camps — a natural entry point that gives children extended time on the pitch without disrupting the club rugby calendar. Over time, we plan to add regular midweek sessions so that development can happen throughout the season.
More Rugby is not an elite academy. We don't talk about professional pathways or performance benchmarks. We're here for the child who loves rugby and wants to play more of it.
“Every child who plays More Rugby should also be encouraged to play for their local club.”
What We Stand For
Every session is designed with children's enjoyment and development in mind. We use positive coaching methods that build confidence as much as skills.
We actively encourage every child to play for their local rugby club. More Rugby is an addition — never a replacement. We communicate openly with clubs and respect their role.
Our coaching team has significant experience working with children in rugby. Qualified, first aid trained, DBS checked and passionate about the game.
All children are welcome regardless of ability or experience. We are fully safeguarding compliant and every child's safety is our number one priority.
