More Rugby is a complement to club rugby — not a replacement.
Our Position
Local rugby clubs are the backbone of the game. They provide the structure, community, fixtures and long-term development pathway that no holiday camp or skills session can replicate.
More Rugby exists because most children who love rugby only get one organised session per week. We fill the gaps — additional practice during holidays and, in the future, midweek skills sessions between fixtures.
Every child who attends More Rugby is encouraged to play for their local club. If they don't already play for a club, we actively signpost them towards joining one.
How We Work With Clubs
We actively tell every child at More Rugby about the importance of playing for a club. Children without a club are pointed towards their nearest one.
When we launch midweek sessions, we will work around typical club training nights to avoid conflicts. We aim to supplement, not compete.
Our coaching focuses on enjoyment, confidence and skill development — the same goals every club coach shares. Players who develop with us will be better club players.
We are happy to speak with local clubs about what we do. We welcome feedback and are open to building relationships that benefit children in the community.
We don't run fixtures, leagues or pathways. We don't try to replicate what a club does. We provide additional coaching — that's it.
Children who play More Rugby should arrive at their club on a Sunday with more skills, more confidence and more enthusiasm for the game. That is good for everyone.
Our aim is to become known as a programme that clubs trust and recommend. We want parents to book a More Rugby camp knowing that their child will come back a better, more confident player — ready to contribute more to their club.
We are at the start of that journey. We welcome conversations with any local club that wants to understand more about what we do.
