How We Coach
All More Rugby activities are delivered in line with RFU age-grade principles and are adapted to the age, experience and stage of development of the children attending.
Where possible, children are grouped by age to ensure coaching is appropriate, engaging and enjoyable for every participant.
Younger players focus on movement skills, passing, catching, evasion, tag rugby, teamwork and confidence-building games.
Older players may also take part in age-appropriate contact preparation activities using tackle bags, shields and coaching equipment under qualified supervision.
Our priority is always to provide a safe, positive environment where children can develop rugby skills, build confidence and enjoy being active.
Our camps are designed for children aged 7–13, which covers school years 3 through 8. Sessions are structured to suit different age groups and experience levels.
No — children do not need to be club members to attend. Our camps are open to any child aged 7–13 with an interest in rugby. That said, we encourage all attendees to explore joining a local club.
Camps include passing, handling, kicking, evasion, tag rugby, rugby games, team challenges and age-appropriate rugby skill development. Some age groups may also take part in contact preparation activities using tackle bags and coaching equipment.
