SUMMER CAMPS IN MALVERN

Looking for summer camps in Malvern during the school holidays?

More Rugby provides active, coaching-led summer holiday camps for children aged 7–13 at MSJ Sports & Fitness Centre.

Our Malvern summer camps combine rugby coaching, games, challenges and team activities in a safe, supportive environment where children can build confidence, stay active and make new friends.

Whether your child is completely new to rugby or already plays regularly, our summer camps are designed to help every child learn, develop and enjoy their school holidays.

Families attend from Malvern, Ledbury, Colwall, Upton upon Severn, Welland, Cradley and surrounding areas.

About the Camp

MORE THAN JUST A HOLIDAY CLUB

Summer holidays should be a chance for children to explore new experiences, stay active and spend time with friends.

For parents, they can also bring the challenge of finding activities that are engaging, worthwhile and genuinely beneficial.

That's where More Rugby is different.

Our Malvern summer rugby camp isn't simply somewhere for children to spend the day. It's a structured coaching experience designed to help young players develop confidence, learn new skills and enjoy the benefits of being active in a positive team environment.

Every session is planned with a clear purpose. Every activity is designed to keep children engaged. Every day provides new challenges, new learning opportunities and plenty of fun along the way.

While many holiday clubs focus on filling time, our goal is to help children leave each day feeling more confident than when they arrived.

For some, that confidence comes from mastering a new skill. For others, it comes from making new friends, trying something unfamiliar or simply discovering that they are capable of more than they realised.

That's the real value of great coaching.

For Every Player

A CAMP FOR BEGINNERS AND CLUB PLAYERS ALIKE

Not every child arrives at camp with the same experience.

Some play rugby every weekend for their club or school. Others are trying the sport for the very first time.

Our coaching philosophy embraces both.

Children don't need previous rugby experience to attend. They don't need specialist knowledge. They don't need to worry about being “good enough”.

They simply need enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

For beginners, camp provides a fun and supportive introduction to rugby through games, challenges and age-appropriate coaching activities.

For more experienced players, it offers an opportunity to continue developing skills throughout the summer holidays and spend extra time learning from qualified coaches.

Where possible, sessions are adapted to suit different ages and ability levels, helping every child enjoy a positive and rewarding experience.

Because great coaching isn't about treating every player the same. It's about helping every player improve.

The Week

FIVE DAYS OF RUGBY, GAMES AND PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Monday

Attack & Evasion

Beat defenders, create space and attack with confidence.

Tuesday

Defence & Turnovers

Positioning, communication and winning possession back.

Wednesday

Contact Readiness & Breakdown

Age-appropriate body position, contact confidence and breakdown skills.

Thursday

Rugby IQ

Decision-making, communication and game principles.

Friday

Festival Day

Team challenges, skill competitions and small-sided games.

Alongside the daily themes, children take part in passing games, handling drills, kicking activities, rugby challenges and match play throughout the week. Every session is designed to maximise participation and ensure children spend plenty of time actively involved.

Our Approach

WHY FAMILIES CHOOSE MORE RUGBY

At More Rugby, we believe that great coaching should be enjoyable, challenging and inclusive.

Children learn best when they feel supported. They improve fastest when they are engaged. They develop confidence when they experience success and encouragement in a positive environment.

That's why our camps are built around more than just rugby skills.

Of course, children leave with improved passing, handling and game understanding. But the benefits often extend much further than rugby itself.

Parents regularly tell us their children leave camp more confident, more independent and more enthusiastic about sport.

Those outcomes matter just as much as any skill learned on the pitch.

Malvern

RUGBY, SPORT AND THE GREAT OUTDOORS

One of the things that makes Malvern such a fantastic place to grow up is the access children have to sport, outdoor activity and open spaces.

At More Rugby, we believe children benefit enormously from spending time outdoors, being active and learning through movement.

Rugby develops physical skills such as balance, coordination, agility and athleticism. It also teaches communication, teamwork and decision-making.

In a world increasingly dominated by screens and indoor entertainment, we see enormous value in giving children opportunities to run, play, compete and learn together.

Our camps provide exactly that.

A full day of activity. A full day of challenge. A full day of enjoyment.

Why More Rugby

WHY PARENTS CHOOSE OUR MALVERN SUMMER CAMPS

Parents often search for summer camps in Malvern because they want more than childcare during the school holidays.

They want children to stay active, spend time outdoors, develop confidence and enjoy meaningful experiences away from screens.

Our Malvern summer camps provide structured coaching, team activities, games and challenges throughout the week, creating an environment where children can learn new skills while having fun.
